The Unspoken Round Robin
A quick reference guide
While jenn and I were chatting about the massive fun of this Round Robin, she mentioned that Min had suggested creating a "story bible". We agreed that it might be easier for more people to play if there was a chronology/character guide to help keep things straight. I said I'd put one together, so here it is. Complete through "Catching Up", but will continue to be a work in progress as others jump into the fun <g>.
Some of the details about the characters were established specifically in stories. Others were left up to interpretation. I've extrapolated a few things here so it's easier for people to keep a grasp on the action. There were a few bits of contradiction in the continuity that I've tried to smooth over in the guide. I usually went with the earliest assumptions if something came later that was different. If anyone notices something off from a story or has a different take on a detail, *please* let me know! This is a collaborative effort all around, so feel free to give me a jingle if you see something I missed. Any and all additions/suggestions for this guide should be sent to andariell@yahoo.com . The RR is currently being archived at jenn's Indulgence and Victoria's Muse's Fool

Logan
(Wolverine) Age: Even *he* doesn't know <L> -- Appears thirty-something Basic facts thus far: Canadian native with no memory before 15 years ago. Cage fighter. Rescued Jean from the Canadian wilderness approx. 2 weeks prior to the beginning of the current timeline; Convinced her to go to Xavier's approx. 1 week prior to current. Touched Rogue on the Statue to heal her two days before beginning of timeline. Not currently a member of the X-Men, but apparently had spent time with them prior to bringing Jean to the mansion. Has a talent for sketching and quoting random bits of poetry <g>. An accident with Rogue in the lake landed him in the med lab under Hank's care. When Rogue shut him out afterwards, he went to see Jean, and they decided to return to Canada. While he was packing to leave the mansion, his partner Betsy showed up and demanded to know why he'd missed their last job. |

Marie (Rogue) Age: 26 Basic facts thus far: English teacher, pursuing a Masters degree in English Literature, Eighteenth Century Women. Member of the X-Men. Originally from Mississippi and a lapsed Catholic -- Father a bible selling Baptist; Mother an Italian Catholic who passed on the ability to speak the language to her daughter. Met Scott when she was nineteen. They became lovers after two years and were engaged after five. Ex-smoker (quit two years previous when she became engaged to Scott). Broke the engagement to Scott after absorbing Logan and acknowledging the connection between Scott and Jean. Rogue and Logan bonded over time, and she trusted herself enough to try her control and touch him. Unfortunately, her mutation activated and Logan almost drowned, leaving her wracked with guilt and swearing off men if Logan survived. She locked herself in a room until Scott talked his way in with snack food. They talked and both got some closure, allowing Rogue the courage to approach Logan. She decided to get some time away when yet another woman with demands on Logan showed up -- Betsy. |

Jean Grey Age: 32 Basic facts thus far: Medical doctor and researcher. Fled the hospital she practiced at in New York City (three weeks prior to current) when her latent telepathy activated with the death of a patient. Hid in the Canadian wilderness until rescued by Logan and brought to the Mansion about one week prior to current. Logan taught her to play poker while in Canada. After "overhearing" the thoughts of Rogue and Scott during an argument, left the mansion to stay at Xavier's hunting lodge in the Catskills. After a near intimate moment with Scott at the lodge, she fled to a women's shelter in NYC and was discovered there by Warren, who convinced her to stay at his apartment. When Scott found her there, it lead to emotional upheaval for both her and Warren. She made a half hearted pass at him, then inexplicably (to her mind) sensed Scott's pain. When Logan offered to take her back to Canada, she gratefully accepted, saying that she had to speak to Warren first. |

Scott Summers
(Cyclops) Age: 29 Basic facts thus far: Field Leader of the X-Men. Math teacher. Engaged to Marie until she gave the ring back to him in part three. He went to visit Jean at Xavier's hunting lodge, which left both of them shaken. Days later, he found out Jean had fled the cabin and ended up in Warren's apartment. Unconvinced that there was nothing going on between them, he sought out Rogue to take one last try at saving their relationship. When that failed, he reached out to her (after the incident in the lake) to get closure and take the first steps toward friendship. After his conversation with Rogue (and a preceding one with Candy), he decided to follow their advice and talk to Jean about how he feels. Uses mechanics on the Blackbird as stress therapy <g>. Scott's mutation includes an innate ability to track motion and calculate trajectories. He's also a master chess player. |

Found Jean at a woman's shelter and convinced her to stay with him. After Scott found Jean at his apartment and assumed something more was going on than they were telling him, Warren comforted Jean while struggling internally with his own conflicting emotions. |

Jean followed them, tipping the scales in the X-Men's favor by using her TK to position Scott's visor for him so he could incapacitate Sabretooth. This allowed them to all free themselves from Magneto's metal trap and enabled Logan's rescue of Rogue from the torch. Erik is now in prison. |
